This page is designed to give a fast, readable estimate without replacing a payslip or payroll system.

Always confirm important figures with your employer, payroll provider, accountant, or tax authority.

Methodology

We annualize the selected pay frequency into a yearly salary estimate.

PAYE income tax is applied against the configured individual income tax bands.

The ACC earners levy is then added up to the current levy cap.

Assumptions

The New Zealand calculator annualizes pay first, applies the relevant tax rules, and then converts the result back to the selected pay frequency.

Recurring deductions are estimated on a per-pay-period basis.

TakeHome Grid provides estimates for informational purposes only and does not replace a payslip or employer payroll system.

Income tax bands reflect Inland Revenue rates for individuals effective from April 1, 2025.

ACC earners levy is modeled using the confirmed 2025-26 earners levy rate and cap published by ACC.

Worked example

New Zealand example

Gross pay: NZD 2,800 fortnightly

Main-income assumption

Deductions: NZD 0

The final result separates PAYE from the ACC levy so the deduction mix stays readable.
